CASA DI RIPOSO

San Francesco Bologna

Casa di Riposo San Francesco arose in the 1960s by the will of the Friars Minor of the Emilia Romagna Region. The aim was to implement a care project for elderly people in need and indigent as long as they were autonomous. The nuns of the Monastery of Santa Caterina in Bologna agreed to use part of the ancient monastery of the fifteenth century, located in the heart of the city, for this purpose. Still today the fees of this structure are low because it houses self-sufficient people under the supervision of the Department of Mental Health.
