Placed in an ancient convent of the Gaudiosi Friars of 1400 in the historical center of Bologna, it is a safe and comfortable refuge for self-sufficient and partially autonomous people. The large garden with centuries-old trees, plants and flowers is the right place to have a walk in every season of the year.
what we do
The facility
This 3-storey building is completely barrier-free. It consists of 26 rooms, equipped with one or two beds, bathroom, TV, telephone, calling system and air conditioning.
Catering
The concierge, dining room and kitchen are on the ground floor. The restaurant is managed by the internal staff of the house that is in charge of preparing and providing meals, which are made respecting the needs of each guest. Family members who would like to stay for lunch with their relative may inform the kitchen in advance.
Common areas
Located on the first floor is the chapel, where you can gather in prayer and attend Sunday mass, the hall, to receive visits from family and friends, the cloister with the ancient well of 1400 and the garden, the nursing clinic and the management. A library and a television room are located on the second floor.
Furnishing
Guests can customize and furnish the room, by prior authorization. Items will be catalogued and returned at the end of the stay.
Rhythm of the Retirement Home
The day takes place by organizing recreational activities in common areas, where guests have free access or are accompanied. A mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack, which consists of small snacks and cold or hot drinks punctuate the rhythm of the day. After lunch, if desired, guests are taken to their room for afternoon rest.
Rules
For the accommodation, the guest who is autonomous has to observe the basic rules of hygiene, keep in order their belongings, respect the schedules and silence during the rest. Visits are allowed every day from 8 to 22 in accordance with the times and rhythms of waking and resting guests. In case of need, the relative is welcome to stay 24 hours a day.
